DOMO at K SHOW 2022

Thank you for visiting us at K2022 and learning more about our caring journey through sustainability and polyamide excellence!

We showcased how our polyamide-based solutions, along with DOMO’s expertise and services, can help our customers meet their future application requirements. And, as the partner of choice for engineered materials, we guided visitors through an Xperience path with solutions based on the leading TECHNYL® brand and DOMO’s new brand architecture. In addition, DOMO experts demonstrated our latest, most innovative and sustainable solutions for your applications through key presentations. 

As a leading polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 solutions provider, visitors also learned more about the latest NYLEO® performance fiber innovations. Our DOMAMID® and STABAMID® virgin polymer sales team was delighted to talk to the the engineering plastics, film, fiber and textile industries about our high-quality solutions for better end-product performance.

We exhibited with an expanded outdoor pavilion covering almost 400m2. DOMO's joint booth with Circularise, a supply chain traceability and transparency start-up. This was a unique opportunity to learn more about the full range of performance and sustainable polyamides, DOMO's advanced predictive simulation and prototyping services and the Circularise approach to traceable supply chains for a circular economy.

Our keynote presentations

As well as displaying its own innovations and products for visitors, K2022 also represented an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of collaboration and partnerships in solving the world’s challenges. DOMO experts demonstrated our latest, most innovative and sustainable solutions for your applications.

DOMO is working closely with key partners, such as Grundfos, to close the loop with sustainable material production and recycling. In addition, DOMO will be presenting another collaboration in a joint presentation with CLARIANT, highlighting their work to increase the glycol resistance of flame-retardant polyamides. 

Regarding operational CO2 emissions, DOMO is making serious strides with hydrogen. On Day 1 at K 2022 (October 19), Chief Corporate Development Officer Wilfried Debus introduced the company’s joint project with Hynamics to produce polyamides from low carbon hydrogen, known as HyDom.

Recent developments in lightweighting, metal replacement, thermal management and e-mobility reinforce the global need for sustainable and high performing polyamide-based solutions. At K 2022, DOMO showed a range of new solutions designed to meet these growing needs.

Expanding our TECHNYL® 4EARTH portfolio

A key highlight at K 2022 was the launch of two new circular lines in the product family. Designed for cooling applications, the TECHNYL® 4EARTH A1E 218 V30 BK 34NG LP is a sustainable variant of DOMO’s leading coolant resistant grade. For E&E market needs, the TECHNYL® 4EARTH HFFR and flame-retardant polyamides - available in gray and white - are based on recycled feedstock.

Solutions for consumer goods and electricals

Another major focus for DOMO at K 2022 was geared towards supporting increased processability in the E&E market. TECHNYL® C 102 NC DF, for example, is a new PA6-based, unfilled solution that provides optimal processability and is aligned with market standard requirements, especially for the production of electric plugs, sockets, switches and connectors.

TECHNL® SAFE Food and water contact certified polyamide

DOMO recognizes a shift away from pipe, fittings, pumps, valves and other components being made from traditional materials such as brass, steel and other metals. Owing to the increasing demand for innovation among water management solutions, TECHNYL® SAFE is making strides for higher performing systems that are better protected against corrosion and degradation.

DOMO launches TECHNYL® Lite

TECHNYL® Lite UD tapes for high stiffness and strength

A major highlight at our booth, DOMO was showcasing its unidirectional UD tapes (composites) with high stiffness and strength for lightweighting solutions under its new brand, TECHNYL® Lite. These tapes will help further enhance plastic applications, specifically for structural parts used in automotive and consumer goods.

Just as crucial to DOMO’s present and future offering is the Service Hub. At K 2022, visitors engaged with DOMO on accelerated development cycles through its unrivalled part testing capabilities. The company’s simulation experts discussed success cases, application simulations and prototypes, and guide visitors through a virtual lab tour.
