We maintain close customer relations with a large number of national and international partners, offer a competence-based service, supplying high-quality and environment-friendly products. We prioritize reliability, efficient logistics, safety and a competent service when supplying our customers.
A reliable source of high-purity chemicals
One of the most famous natural polyamides is silk, which silkworms produce from mulberry leaves. The process we use to make polyamide – better known as nylon, of which we are a leading supplier – has the advantage of also making available many other valuable chemicals and intermediates.
All our high-purity chemicals and intermediates are available to our customers and serve as excellent raw materials for a wide variety of industrial applications. Like our nylon polymers, the products strongly benefit from our high level of vertical integration and the fully quality control this gives us over the entire production pathway.
When sourcing from DOMO, customers can not only trust in receiving exceptional quality with a low level of impurities but also a continuous supply with first-rate service.
AA, HMD, Caprolactam and cyclohexanone
Our Hexamethylenediamine, Adipic Acid and Caprolactam are central elements of DOMO’s production and used by many of our customers for their own nylon polymerization. Their high purity is ensured by meticulous testing.
Our cyclohexanone is produced with a special palladium-based catalyst and advanced process technology that provides consistent high quality. It can be used as a precursor for caprolactam or other organic intermediates, as a solvent in many applications, as well as in the production of pesticides.
Cumene, phenol, acetone and alpha-methylstyrene
Starting from benzene, the first part of the synthesis produces cumene, phenol, acetone, acetophenone and alpha-methylstyrene. Obtained at the beginning of the caprolactam synthesis route, these high-purity intermediates and chemicals can be used to make plastics, solvents and a wide range of other useful products and compounds.
Our acetone is available both in a technical grade and one that complies with pharma requirements for use as excipient, and the outstanding quality of the cumene we produce is ensured by state-of-the-art technology based on zeolite catalysts. All products come with complete documentation and are shipped according the highest safety standards.
Ammonium sulfate
A valuable byproduct of caprolactam synthesis, this inorganic salt is mainly used as a fertilizer for crop production. We offer it in a naturally non-caking special grade ensuring wide dispersibility in the field, as well as in an industrial grade with anti-caking agent that can be used for many processes, from the production of experimental yeast cultures to making flame retardants.

NYLEO® 4EARTH®
The pollution generated by the textile industry has a huge impact on the planet.
According to the Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation, more than 70% of end-of-life clothing is landfilled or incinerated. Based on this observation, DOMO has developed NYLEO® 4EARTH®, using the Amni Soul Eco® technology* from the Solvay Group, which demonstrates enhanced biodegradation when landfilled. In anaerobic landfills, its unique composition allows bacteria to gain access to and digest the waste materials, thus accelerating the biodegradation process.
*Amni Soul Eco® technology is part of a new generation of sustainable fibers manufactured using environmentally-friendly processes.
Key benefits of NYLEO® 4EARTH® polyamide 6.6 fibers
NYLEO® 4EARTH is the right choice for both the environment and your products. By offering enhanced biodegradability to safeguard the environment while maintaining all the standard characteristics of polyamide 6.6, including durability, long life, high tenacity, soft touch and abrasion resistance, it’s the optimal solution for your final applications.
Whether it is spinning, drawing, knitting, dyeing or finishing, NYLEO® 4EARTH® can undergo many types of processing and is the perfect solution to create high-quality and eco-friendly products respecting the environment.
Why you should choose NYLEO® 4EARTH®
NYLEO® 4EARTH® reduces the environmental impact of polyamide fiber based-products to levels never before achieved.
As demonstrated by independent laboratory biodegradation tests in accordance with D5511-12 (anaerobic - high solids biodegradability), NYLEO® EARTH® fibers biodegrade in around five years when disposed of in landfills, compared to more than 50 years for traditional polyamide 6.6 fibers.
Biodagradation of NYLEO® 4EARTH®
Like other biodegradable products, once landfilled, NYLEO® 4EARTH® polyamide 6.6 fiber with enhanced biodegradability breaks down into organic matter (biomass) and biogas (methane).
Within five years, more than 90% of the fiber is converted into biogas, with the remainder as biomass residues. Moreover, in well controlled landfills, methane is not released directly into the atmosphere, but burned or reused for power generation.
Key applications and industries
DOMO’s goal with NYLEO® 4EARTH® is to provide sustainable and added-value solutions for the textile, flock, nonwovens and carpet markets which are increasingly mindful of production ethics and eco-sustainable approaches.
To be more sustainable, manufacturers will need to redesign production to make it easier to manage the end-of-life of products and waste.

Partner of choice
Our goal: Becoming a partner of choice for sustainable solutions
The sustainable future of polyamides
Polyamides (PA) are essential to countless products with a positive impact on our lives. They are versatile, light, tough and resist heat. Thanks to their adaptability and performance characteristics, they provide the best solution for so many of our needs today in terms of mobility, health, lifestyle and urbanization. And they also enable important sustainable developments like circularity, low carbon solutions and lightweighting.
At DOMO Chemicals, we are industry pioneers on the path to a circular economy in several challenging application areas. Our high-performance polyamide materials offer significant environmental advantages over comparable prime-grade products and help optimize the sustainability footprint of molders and end users. Not surprisingly, demand for these solutions continues to grow at a rapid pace!
This is why we are working hard to support our customers in their journey by enhancing our offering of sustainable solutions. This includes a 20% increase in sustainable applications and a 20% reduction in the carbon footprint of our products by 2030. In this way, we can better assist our customers in transitioning from metal designs to plastics for lightweighting.
.

Circular economy and engineering materials
The demand for circular solutions is expected to grow exponentially in the coming decade. Drawing on our many years of experience in the production and processing of sustainable polyamides, we have developed a technology in which secondary feedstock from production sources is recycled into high-quality PA compounds in a one-step process. The result is our well-known brand of recycled polyamide, TECHNYL® 4EARTH®.
TECHNYL® 4EARTH® is part of our strategy for supporting circularity and providing an efficient solution for strengthening post-industrial recycling. The production of our resins requires nearly 50% less water, emits 80% less CO2, and consumes 60% less non-renewable energy compared to prime-grade polyamide. Life cycle assessment (LCA) studies have successfully demonstrated the reduced environmental impact of our upstream and downstream products.
In addition to our solutions addressing circularity and lightweight, we are increasing our focus on strengthening mechanical and chemical recycling of post-consumer feedstock. Through process improvements and the development of new technologies and new grades, we are investing in dissolving technologies for the recycling of monomer production waste, for example.

Collaborative circularity and blockchain technology
Our determination to use collaboration and cutting-edge technology to promote change led to a shared initiative with Covestro, a major supplier of high-tech polymers, and Circularise, an innovative transparency start-up. The initiative aims at using blockchain technology to establish better traceability for plastics across the value chain, allowing all actors to choose sustainable options more confidently.
We believe this innovative technology will greatly contribute to fostering responsibility and trust within the industry while minimizing concerns about confidentiality. With Circularise, our customers can show the origin and impact of their products, avoid greenwashing and build customer trust, and prove product sustainability with absolute certainty.
