Parts under cyclic vibration fatigue loads
DOMO’s fatigue material laws with failure mechanism (available either in an elastic or visco-elastic formulation), enable the effect of alternate loading on parts to be predicted, with frequency and load ratio.
For a preliminary evaluation, using our elastic formulation will lead to an accurate prediction of fatigue resistance.
Alternatively, use our visco-elastic formulation to achieve both an accurate prediction of fatigue resistance as well as an assessment of part displacement during a fatigue cycle.
Fatigue models are used in a wide range of applications to predict part lifetime and spot critical regions, such as:
- Engine mounts
- Brake pedals
- Brackets
- Seating, door handles, hinges
