Yves Bonte: Health, Safety and Business Continuity

As our customers and partners, I wanted to update you on the actions we are taking at DOMO Chemicals to protect ourselves and all our partners against the Coronavirus (COVID-19). COVID-19 is a global humanitarian challenge, affecting people all over the world even faster than anticipated. Many countries are shutting down and implementing emergency measures to slow down the disease spread so that health care systems can cope. We cannot have enough admiration for the courage and tireless devotion of the health care professionals and medical services who are fighting this disease and saving lives. The pandemic has indeed changed life in general and we have no doubt that you are experiencing the impact.

Safety is our top priority

Since the initial outbreak, we have put in place measures to help minimize the risk from the coronavirus throughout the DOMO Chemicals group. We are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our people, our customers and our suppliers, as well as everyone who is affected by our activities. In addition to following and implementing the guidance and regulations of the countries in which we operate, we have implemented key hygiene measures to prevent the virus spreading and made teleworking mandatory for all employees who can effectively work from home.

Our second priority is to ensure the continuity of our supplies and services throughout the world and to support your business. We have taken initiatives and prepared business continuity plans at all our plants and logistics centers to ensure that you can get the products you need. In regions particularly impacted by the virus, only individuals whose presence is critical to operations are permitted on site, and their health is regularly monitored. Our supply chain professionals are monitoring closely the transport availability of our suppliers. Many of our Customer Service teams are also set up to work remotely, so you can continue to place orders as normal.

Business continuity at all sites

Today we can confirm that all our production is operating regularly and we can ensure business continuity. That applies also to our facilities in Italy belonging to the national business categories ATECO 22.29.09 - “Production of plastic articles” and 22.22 “Production of plastic packaging”, considered as so-called essential productions, and therefore allowed to continue their activities.

Committed to service

We want to assure you that while we will not have as much face-to-face interaction we are committed to providing the highest quality support and interactions possible. These are unprecedented times. Now, more than ever we aim at continuing to do what we do best: focusing on supporting each other, meeting changing needs and serving our customers.

Your Account Manager is available to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding orders, deliveries, etc. related to this event. Please do not hesitate to contact them.

It is too early to predict the full impact of the COVID-19 crisis on our business but we want to take this opportunity to thank you for our continuing relationship and please take care during this difficult period.

With kind regards,

Yves Bonte
