This new plant is part of DOMO Engineering Plastics’ global manufacturing network and will serve Asian customers with an extensive variety of product solutions including Domamid® Nylon 6 and 6.6 or High Temperature Nylon (HTN) functionalized compounds to serve the automotive, electrical and consumer goods industries; Econamid® and Econamid® Oro, the company’s engineering polymers range based on high quality pre-consumer waste feedstock offering a complete assortment of sustainable nylon (PA6 and PA66) compounds. It combines ecology and durability while offering the highest industry quality standard. In addition, the new compounding unit in Jiaxing will offer customers a “Fast Response Colormatch Service” for pre-colored nylon compounds.
DOMO Chemicals invests in a state-of-the-art nylon compounding plant in Jiaxing, PR China
DOMO Chemicals announced today at Chinaplas 2015 that it has invested in a state-of-the-art nylon compounding plant with a total capacity of 20,000tons as part of the global expansion of its business unit Engineering Plastics. The new plant will be located at the company’s Jiaxing facilities in Zhejiang Province. As part of the total investment plan, a second (5kta) production line has been ordered and is expected to be fully operational by end of 2015.

The investment will be completed by the expansion of the current Compound Design Laboratory to offer our local partners formulation redesign, cost reducing alternatives as well as innovative nylon materials. “With such an investment, we will provide our customers a sustainable range of formulations and services to help them profitably grow their Asian businesses, as well as offering an environmental friendly operation that will meet the most stringent regulatory targets in the field of air quality fume emissions,” stated Ludovic Tonnerre, Asia Managing Director at DOMO Engineering Plastics.
