Long term deformation and creep
DOMO’s Strain-Rate dependent elasto-plastic (SREP) material files, devoted to creep prediction, model the long-term part shape change under loading.
They cover mechanical properties variation in strain-rates in the range of 10-8s-1 to 1s-1. This corresponds to applications with loading times between 1 minute and 10 years.
SREP creep models are used in a wide range of applications in the automotive and consumer goods industries, such as:
- Vessels under pressure
- Sealing compression behavior in the long term
- Leakage prediction
- Self-tapping screws
- Engine mounts
- Fan/shrouds interaction
